Naturally, Toomes is enraged at being deprived of such a huge business opportunity and instructs his workers to steal the Chitauri technology which they plan to use in creating and selling advanced weapons. However, this is soon taken over by the Department of Damage Control (D.O.D.C.), which is a joint effort by Tony Stark and the US government. Enter Adrian Toomes ( Michael Keaton), and his salvage company, who are contracted by the city to clean up the mess.

While the previous films focused either on the socioeconomic problems that Peter faced, and how he juggled those, besides being a hero, or shone the light on various interpersonal relationships in Spider-Man’s life, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is squarely about how fun web-swinging can be.
